Newz Flash
The latest buzz in the web design and development circles, is the recent legal ruling against Microsoft, to use the object and embed tags in the web pages. I don't know all the legal issues involved, but what I do know is, you won't be able to have your Flash, Shockwave, or Real Media movies or applications, seamlessly integrated into your web page. Microsoft, is trying to create a work around, but if you were planning an all Flash web site, you may want to reconsider, and research this recent event before proceding. To find out more about this issue Click Here have a nice weekend!

Today's E business Tip
Don't try to mimic the major corporate web sites. The model of the big aloof faceless corporation won't work for small business. In small business you want to stress the strengths of doing business with a smaller company, like personalization. Therefore, use a picture of yourself on your site, your voice in an audio file, maybe a video clip streamed remotely (don't embed these audio or video files in your main pages it is now illegal, and it will slow your pages down). Have an address listed on your site (not a P.O. Box). In these days of email overload, really impress your prospects with a phone call! Try to respond to customer within 24 hours personally, even better 4 hours. To have a personalized business web site, that also ranks high in the search engines check out the Web Design and Web Marketing Site Ebiz by Design. Peace and Blessings

Pushing the Envelop
The African American and Minority markets, many of whom are later participants to the Internet phenomena, are later to adopt the latest cutting edge marketing and online business trends. This is of course understandable. Nevertheless, I will push the readers of Einfonews, and subscribers of Keep it Real Profitable, ezine to keep current and become early adopters of the latest effective marketing strategies. In this regard I will be creating a RSS (Really Simple Syndication feed) for my AOL and Yahoo subscribers. The Spam filters from these 2 companies are making it impossible to send subscribers requested newsletters and ezines. Therefore, I will be offering this option for subscribers in the very near future. If you run a web site you will have to keep in contact with your customers via email or now RSS. These issues that I am raising, about email marketing, are crucial ones for you to consider as well. Peace and God Bless.

Realizing Your Limitations
There comes a time when all of us have to realize, in business, that we need help and insight to get to the next level. We all need mentors, who are more successful than us, who can give us a kick in the pants, to reach our potential. I see so many people on-line who want to be successful in business, but who do not want to spend any money in advertising, promotion, PR, coaching, or consulting. Plus they don't want to listen to what more seasoned web marketers have to say. Your learning curve will be so long, more than likely your business will not make it.

If your business needs an infusion of cash, make sure what you really need, isn't more insights into sales, marketing, and promoting your products or services. I have been able to finance some small businesses by going out and pre-selling the service to prospects. This way you know that you have a viable service, and market, in which to do business. I have become much more successful online by spending some money on training, investing in mentoring services, of successful business people, and obtaining e books. If your business success seems to be stalled, try investing and hiring successful business people, to consult with and coach you in your success. I once thought I had all the answers, or I'll learn everything for free, but true business success does not work this way.

Keeping It Real on Grants
Their are some small group of grant seekers who want a hand out in every respect. You have to remember, the definition of an entrepreneur is: one that runs a business at a personal risk. Most of the grants given out are to companies or non-profits, which serve the common good, or brings about a change in society, like some technical innovation or charity. In other words these people are not getting a grant for free, they are already contributing to the overall society in some way. If you are opening a barber shop, health club, or grocery store... you know the common store, and you are looking for a grant this is unlikely. Unless you are in a grant competition based on your business plan, like the Miller's Inner City Grants:
( More Miller's Unban Entrepreneur Grant Info, you are probably looking for money in the wrong places. You need a loan or business investment, from angel investors or family. Please don't contact me asking me to write your grant proposal, or fill out your forms for free. There's no free lunch in business, this is not welfare. Only 1/100th of 1 percent of the site visitors have this mentality. But it is annoying never the less. Just keeping it real on Grants. If you want to be mislead on this issue Lesko, will take your money ($60) for one of his grant CDs. From the people I know who purchased it, they would tell you the same thing.

  Finally!
The migration to my new autoresponder servers to send out the Keep it Real...Profitable ezine is complete. What an Ordeal. However, this will help me to be able to get the ezine to my subscribers in a timely fashion. I also think that I have been able to get by the AOL spam filters. This means the 30% of my AOL users will be able to get the Keep it Real Profitable ezine they signed up for. If any site users have any problems getting their email notifications let me know. Go to the help section of the site and contact me in that section.
