This largely is the case because of its projected exponential growth.

Although there are only 2 million US wireless devices connected to the wireless web, there are over 100 million wireless cell phones in our country. This will help wireless web usage to grow to over 23 million users by 2003 according to Forrester Research and PC magazine.
