Is Wireless Finally Ready to Rule E-business?

thus ending the slow download times associated with today's
wireless connections. Also 3-G technology will standardize the network
and protocol mess I alluded to earlier.
Finally, fast and reliable operating systems based on
Linux and the BeaOS, have made it to market faster than the bloated Windows
operating system. More energy and software efficient processors like those
produced by companies like Transmeta, are core technologies challenging
industry leader Intel. This may result in more competition in the wireless
cyber-ether than presently is the case in cyberspace. Hopefully this will
result in lower prices for consumers to purchase applications and third
party software.
The wireless cyber-ether and not the courts, may finally
bring Microsoft's digital dominance to an end. This underscores the point
that the early adapters to the wireless web will cause the next big ripple
in tech business. Savvy small business people will prepare to get their
foot in the door.
