More energy and software efficient processors like those produced by companies like Transmeta, are core technologies challenging industry leader Intel. This may result in more competition in the wireless cyber-ether than presently is the case in cyberspace. Hopefully this will result in lower prices for consumers to purchase applications and third party software.
